Well, the Hawks will finally return to Atlanta with a close series.
The Hawks broke away from a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter and completely overwhelmed the New York Knicks in the final quarter, winning 107-106 in Game 2 of the first round of the playoffs. The series moves to Atlanta later this week, tied at 1-1.

Although the Hawks trailed by 12 points entering the final quarter, they opened the fourth quarter with a 20-9 run and pulled within one point after Jaylen Johnson’s layup forced a Knicks timeout. In the end, CJ McCollum helped the Hawks regain the lead with his own layup, which was the team’s first lead since the beginning of the second quarter.
Ultimately, McCollum and Nickeil Alexander-Walker came to an agreement. After Jalen Brunson missed a shot at the other end that would have put the Knicks back in front, McCollum deftly hit a fadeaway shot from the short corner over OG Anunoby to put the Hawks in front.
Alexander-Walker then blocked Brunson on the other end and found Johnson on the break, and the Hawks suddenly had a two-possession lead.

Brunson did hit a 3-pointer after that, and after McCollum missed two shots, Mikal Bridges hit the game-winner, but Bridges missed the target. This officially gave the Eagles a stunning one-point victory.
McCollum scored a game-high 32 points and 6 assists to help Atlanta win.
