Two days after the Utah Jazz and Indiana Pacers were slapped with six-figure fines for “blatant” trailering, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver told reporters during All-Star Weekend in Inglewood, Calif., that the league has observed worse trailering this season than in recent memory.

Silver was later asked whether there could be harsher penalties for intentional losses, such as taking away draft picks.
“Every possible remedy is being discussed to stop this behavior,” Silver stressed.
For now, he believes the fine will send a message.
“We will be looking more closely at the overall picture of all team behavior this season and very intentionally hope that teams take notice,” he said.
