The New York Jets selected Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq with the 16th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Speculation is rife that the Jets will bolster their offense with this pick, balancing the option of No. 2 edge rusher David Bailey.

While many thought the selection was a wide receiver, general manager Darren Mougey went in a slightly different direction. The general manager added a player who will immediately improve the passing game over the middle and become a matchup problem for the defense.
Sadiq was a second-team All-American in 2025 and a first-round selection in the Big Ten Conference. The senior led the team with 51 catches for 560 yards and added eight touchdowns.
New York used its second first-round pick on Sadiq, the pick they acquired from the Indianapolis Colts in the blockbuster trade that sent Sauce Gardner to the Colts.
Sadiq traded his Oregon Green for Gun Green. He will be the focal point of the passing game and provide a new element to the passing attack that will distract from Garrett Wilson.
