A national shopping mall chain will open in Zona Rosa this summer.
Burlington, known for selling outerwear, apparel, accessories and home goods, will open at the former Staples location at 8450 NW Prairie View Road, according to a Zona Rosa news release.
According to the Burlington website, the retail chain was founded in New Jersey in 1924 as an outerwear wholesaler and opened its first retail store in 1972. Currently, it has more than 1,000 stores across the country.
“Zona Rosa’s continued growth and expansion reinforces our goal to become the Northland’s premier destination,” Zona Rosa general manager Scott Zigler said in a release. “We are excited to welcome a vibrant mix of tenants that reflect the needs of our community – experiences, entertainment and local businesses all in one location.”
The Zona Rosa location will be the seventh in the Kansas City area, joining others in Independence, Grandview, Olathe, Overland Park and Shawnee. The exact date for the opening has not yet been announced.
Zona Rosa also recently announced the opening of a Culver branch in the mall. Other tenants at Northland Mall include Bo Lings, American Eagle Outfitters, Sephora, Barnes & Noble and others.
