EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Several people were arrested for drunk driving in Horizon over the Thanksgiving weekend, including one who allegedly threatened police officers and his family.
The Horizon Police Department issued multiple press releases on the morning of Tuesday, December 2, regarding the arrest of individuals suspected of driving under the influence and other charges.
One of them, 31-year-old Eduardo Vasquez Valles, was arrested on Sunday, November 30, on other charges, including possession of cocaine. He also threatened to burn down the arresting officer’s house citing specific information about the officer and his family, and was charged with obstruction of justice or retaliation.

Another man, Nicholas Joel Hernandez, 19, was arrested Saturday, Nov. 29, and charged with public intoxication after showing clear signs of intoxication and being unable to provide an address or safely care for himself, police said.
Hernandez told police he had been drinking earlier and was walking home after being left behind by friends. After he was taken into custody, he became combative in the back seat of the patrol unit, police said.

In another arrest, a young woman was arrested for a second time for drunk driving. Vanessa Solis, 28, was arrested Friday, November 28, and charged with second offense of DUI. Her breathalyser results showed her alcohol level was over the legal limit, according to police.

Three other people, Jonathan Vela, 24, Elmer Saenz, 39, and Andres Daniel Martinez, 26, were also arrested for driving under the influence.
