Monroe County names familiar face as new deputy county executive

Monroe County Executive Adam Bello has named his chief of staff as the next deputy county executive. Amy Grower will take over the position held by Jeff McCann after he was elected Greektown Supervisor last month.

“Amy is one of the best public servants I have ever worked with, and she has been an integral part of my leadership team and administration from day one,” Bello said in a statement. “…Her insight and expertise will be invaluable as we continue our efforts to improve the quality of life for Monroe County families, invest in the local workforce and build a stronger and safer community.”

As deputy administrator, Grohl will serve as Bello’s second-in-command. She will help oversee the day-to-day operations of county government, guide policy development and lead major projects under Bello’s guidance.
