Missing Rochester woman identified as body found on St. Paul Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Carolyn “Danny” Siplin, a woman reported missing in Rochester, has been found dead.

News 8 learned of Siplin’s death Sunday night. The news comes nearly a week after the 33-year-old was last seen on Portage Street in Rochester on Monday, December 23. Simplin’s disappearance prompted a search effort by the community and police.

On December 26, police discovered a body while conducting a welfare check on the east side of Genesee Valley near the 600 block of St. Paul Street. The Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the man as Ciprien.

At this time, the Rochester Police Department stated that “there does not appear to be any criminal intent in Siplin’s death.” RPD is continuing to investigate the situation and is asking anyone with information to contact 911.
