Mike Lindell’s campaign for governor is buying boatloads of Mike Lindell autobiographies

Mike Lindell’s memoir What Are the Possibilities? From Addict to CEO” has seen a new surge in sales since he announced he was running for governor late last year.

Who is buying this book, which details his addiction and his rise to fame?

MyPillow CEO Lindell spent more than half of the money he raised for his campaign last year buying his book, according to the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board data Published Tuesday.

Lindell said by phone Tuesday that he was handing out not the typical campaign flyers but copies of his book. He said MyPillow owns the books and that MyPillow is “employee-owned.”

“When we go everywhere in Minnesota, other people are handing out flyers,” Lindell said. “I give them the whole book so they know who I am.”

MyPillow’s CEO said he wasn’t sure how many copies of his book had been given away so far, but estimated it was around 20,000 or 25,000. It’s unclear if the event is paying full price ($19.97) or being able to use a promo code to get a $10 discount.

Lindell is one of 10 candidates seeking the Republican nomination for governor, including House Speaker Lisa Demuth; state Rep. Kristin Robbins, the 2022 nominee for Republican Gov. Scott Jensen; and Kendall Qualls, a veteran and health care executive.

Although Lindell became wealthy for a time after developing his famous block pillows, he is now bankrupt. At the launch of his campaign in December, a reporter asked him if he would be willing to self-fund his campaign. Lindell said no.

“Absolutely not. I can’t self-fund it. I don’t have any money left,” Lindell said.
