Michigan State football reportedly promoting assistant LB coach

Michigan State football has filled another staff vacancy. According to Ryan O’Blesness of Spartan Illustrated, Michigan State promoted assistant linebackers coach Andrew Bindelglass to rushers coach this year.

Binderglass starts as a defensive analyst at Michigan State in 2024. In 2025, he was named assistant linebackers coach to defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Joe Rossi. Binderglass, a longtime Rossi assistant, began his career under Rossi in 2019 as a defensive graduate assistant at Minnesota.

Prior to Minnesota, Binderglass served as outside linebackers coach at Bryant University, defensive quality control coach at Holly Cross and as a secondary assistant coach at Tufts University, where he played cornerback in college.
