United will need everyone to work together if they are to secure a Champions League spot at the end of the season.
The arrival of Michael Carrick has certainly helped, with the Red Devils unbeaten in their last six games, including wins over Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

But if the injuries keep piling up every week, the caretaker head coach won’t be able to continue to work his magic.
The 20-time English League champions were without Lisandro Martinez in Everton’s win, along with Matthijs de Ligt, Patrick Dolgu and Mason Mount.
Mason Mount returns to training
According to the Manchester Evening News, the Englishman is close to returning to action and has taken part in team training ahead of Sunday’s clash with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
As things stand, however, the former Chelsea star is unlikely to feature in Sunday’s game but there is a chance he could feature against Newcastle in midweek.

Michael Carrick hopes Mason Mount can return to training ahead of Sunday’s clash with Crystal Palace, with the £55million midfielder able to deliver a happy ending to the season.
“The Manchester United midfielder has missed the past four games under Carrick and although the Eagles game may come too soon for him, he is expected to return to the team next week.”
Mason Mount ready for a successful season
Although the United No.7 has barely featured under Michael Carrick, the former midfield legend remains hopeful that the England international can enjoy a successful season.
“Mason is getting closer, he’s on the grass and he’s hoping to get around it soon,” Carrick said. “We have to be patient, he’s a good player so we’ll look after him and make sure he’s ready for a good end to the season.”

Martinez is also expected to miss the game against the Eagles, so Leny Yoro is likely to start again after his impressive performance against the Toffees last time out.
As for De Ligt, there are rumors that he could start playing next month. Hopefully everyone can return soon so Carrick has a full squad to choose from to lead United back into the Champions League.
