The former MP shared her surprising thoughts in an interview with political commentator Kim Iverson Released Thursday on YouTube.
“MAGA is – I think people are realizing it’s a complete lie. It’s a big lie to people,” Green said.
She said Trump has completely betrayed his base and is more concerned about serving the “big donors” who donated to his political action committee and contributed to his new ballroom.
“These people got special offers, government contracts, they got pardons,” Green said. “And foreign countries are the ones who dominate here. They are the major big companies and the best thing for the world. That’s what MAGA really means.”
Greene then accused the president of being more concerned about Iran than what was happening in the United States.
“Sorry, we almost had a civil war in Minnesota, how could we not care about that?” she said.
Greene then launched into a swipe at Israel, saying Trump was concerned about Israel. She accused him of ignoring “murdered” Gazans so that a new Trump hotel could eventually be built.
“We are witnessing a war for Israel,” Green said angrily. “We’re seeing the people of Gaza – the innocent people of Gaza, hundreds of thousands of them, being outright murdered so that they can build some new real estate development and money can pour in and everyone can get rich in the new Gaza.”
Her comments came just weeks after Greene resigned from Congress. Last fall, she announced she would resign from public office amid a feud with Trump that stemmed in large part from her accusations that the president did not move quickly enough to release documents on deceased sex offenders.
