Daniel Rand, of Charlemont Avenue, West Bromwich, appeared at Mold Wales Crown Court for sentencing on Monday.

Lender was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman who was also at the park after a disturbance was reported on March 29 at Ty Mawr Caravan Park in Abergele.

Rand, 27, was found guilty of two counts of rape, plus offenses of intentional grievous bodily harm, assault and criminal damage.

Detective Constable Catherine Farrington said: “Today’s sentence reflects the seriousness of the horrific crimes committed by Rand.

“This man committed brutal violence against a woman, causing her physical injury and mental distress.

“I would like to commend the victim in this case. Her courage and the detailed account of the abuse she suffered were crucial in securing this conviction.

“We hope this result will provide a degree of comfort as she continues to recover.

“Tackling violence against women and girls remains a priority for North Wales Police. We are committed to identifying perpetrators, delivering justice and ensuring victims receive the protection and support they need.
