MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Manchester City signed Ghana forward Antoine Semenho from Bournemouth on Friday to bolster its attacking options ahead of the team’s bid for the Premier League and Champions League titles.
Semenho, who has scored 10 goals and is one of the best attackers in English football this season, has reportedly signed a 5.5-year contract worth £65 million ($87 million).

He will provide competition for City’s winger corps, which includes Jeremy Doku, Omar Marmouche, Savinho and Oscar Bobb. Savinho and Bobu are currently injured, while Mamouche, who is currently participating in the African Cup of Nations, has fallen out of favor this season.
Semenho, 26, has also been linked with Manchester United and Liverpool. He spent 2.5 seasons at Bournemouth after joining from second-tier club Bristol City.
“I still have a lot of room to improve,” Semenho said in a City statement, “so joining this club at this stage of my career is perfect for me. It’s a real honor to be here.”
“My best football is yet to come, I’m sure of that.”
