Upon arrival, Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD) officers learned that a man driving a silver truck had been involved in a two-vehicle collision and then fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
The suspect vehicle was located a short time later and a Mesa County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop near 31st and Price Ditch Road.
The suspect was eventually contacted in the 3100 block of Americana Drive.
Robert Hann, 59, was arrested and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility for:

No weapons allowed
-
Hit-and-run failure to remain at the scene of the accident
-
Careless driving causing personal injury
Hann appeared in court Wednesday and was given a $500 personal recognizance bond.
GJPD is still investigating the crash and has no additional information at this time.
“The Grand Junction Police Department appreciates the continued partnership with our local law enforcement agencies,” the Grand Junction Police Department said.
