PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two teenagers appeared in Cowlitz County Court on Friday. Arrested at Mark Morris High School Involves an investigation into sexual abuse involving the school’s basketball team.
The two teenagers, ages 17 and 16, are accused of repeatedly pulling junior varsity players into the varsity locker room between November 2025 and January 2026 and sexually assaulting them.

Court documents show the Longview Police Department Investigation launched in early February A report was received from a father that his 14-year-old son had been assaulted by some varsity players on his team throughout the basketball season.
The details of the attack are graphic. Court documents share incidents in which a varsity player pushed a penis into his face and forced a finger into his rectum, as well as an incident in which a group of varsity players allegedly took a can of biocryogen and squirted it into a player’s rectum.
“The feeling of being powerless makes me very angry,” one student reportedly said.
Court documents document four victims in total – ages 14, 14, 16 and 17 – whose names have not been released to the public.

Six players were named in the charges, but as of Friday, only two students faced charges of second-degree rape, sexually motivated unlawful imprisonment and forcible indecent liberties, according to Longview police. Both boys were released on $15,000 bail and ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.
Some parents are now calling on the school district to be more transparent.
“I found out on Facebook that these things were happening and no one really knew,” said Chrystal Alexander, a parent of a student at Mark Morris High School. “So I think principals should be more direct, like, they’re withholding information from parents.”
Longview Public Schools Superintendent Karen L. Cloninger on Thursday Make a statement called the allegations “deeply disturbing and inconsistent with our district’s position.”
“We remain committed to cooperating with the law enforcement investigation. Once the law enforcement investigation is completed and the findings can inform our next steps, the district will engage an independent, third-party investigator to review district practices related to our athletic programs, including student supervision and staff training. This step reflects our commitment to accountability and a careful and thorough examination of our practices.”
One student told police he had Interview with Mark Morris staff The circumstances surrounding the attack were discussed two weeks before he published his report. It’s unclear whether the remaining four students named in the investigation are currently attending classes.
