LFC set sights on Dembele

Fichayes claims Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé would be the man to replace him if he leaves at the end of the season.

Currently in Paris Saint-Germain, Dembélé is in excellent form and the Ligue 1 team won the treble last season.

But it has been a difficult season for the French World Cup winner – he has made just three starts in the Champions League and a further five in Ligue 1.

The club’s owners are believed to be locked in a contract impasse with Dembélé – the former Barcelona striker’s current contract expires in 2028.

“The current Ballon d’Or winner has postponed a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain after failing to agree an astronomical salary.

“His demands for €60 million a year have created an insurmountable rift with the club’s management.”
