Chiesa could become Liverpool’s version of Cherki
Both the Italian and the Frenchman have spent a lot of time on the right side of the pitch, and although Federico Chiesa is signed until 2024, it feels like both players are still adapting to their teams.

Cherki’s 13 goal contributions came in an average of 49 minutes per game; Chiesa scored 5 goals and assisted in 431 minutes while averaging only 25 minutes per game. Neither has really had confidence instilled in them from their coaches, but their reasons for playing more often are clear.
The Frenchman has really started to find his feet recently, starting six of City’s last seven games against Fulham, Sunderland, Real Madrid, Crystal Palace, Brentford, West Ham United and Nottingham Forest, contributing two goals and four assists, but despite his fine efforts he was not rewarded for his goal contributions. Guardiola’s team is better because of his form.
