A winter weather advisory remains in effect for Lenawee County (and much of southeastern Michigan) until 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, according to the National Weather Service.
Residents can expect 1-2 inches of heavy snow, with higher amounts possible locally. Wind gusts could reach 45 mph and wind chills could drop to 5-15 degrees below freezing.
Drivers are advised to slow down and use caution when traveling, according to the National Weather Service. Residents are urged to stay indoors unless necessary and to wear layers of clothing if going out. Covering exposed skin can reduce the risk of frostbite or hypothermia, including gloves, scarves, and hats.
