A home near Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home is under investigation after she disappeared, police said late Friday night. Nancy is the mother of “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie, who has been missing for nearly two weeks.
“Law enforcement activity is ongoing at a residence related to the Guthrie case near E Orange Grove Rd and N First Ave,” the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement. “Because this is a joint investigation at the request of the FBI, no additional information is available at this time.”

The house is located in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood, a short drive from where Nancy, her eldest daughter, Anne, and her husband live, the New York Times reported. A gray Range Rover at Culver’s nearby home is also under investigation, but it’s unclear whether it is related to Guthrie, the Times reported. Investigators photographed the contents of the car’s trunk, and a tow truck removed it from the scene.
The FBI is increasing its reward to $100,000 for information leading to the finding of Nancy Guthrie or the arrest and conviction of those responsible for her disappearance, the FBI revealed Thursday.
The agency also shared more identifying details about the potential kidnapper, describing the suspect as “a male approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. In the video, he can be seen carrying a black 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack, according to a post on FBI Phoenix Field X.”
Earlier this week, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department told ABC News that an individual has been detained for questioning in connection with the case and investigators are preparing to search locations associated with that individual. The man was later released.
Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on February 1, and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department declared her disappearance a crime on February 2.
“We saw something in the home that concerned us,” Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told reporters at the time. “We now believe after processing the crime scene that we do have a crime scene, we do have a crime committed and we’re asking for the community’s help.”
Since her mother’s disappearance, Savannah Guthrie has posted multiple videos on social media targeting her kidnapper and asking for the community’s help in finding her.
“So I’m here not just to ask for your prayers, but wherever you are, even if you’re far from Tucson,” she said in a Feb. 9 video message. “If you see anything, if you hear anything, if anything seems strange to you, please report it to law enforcement. We are in a desperate moment and we need your help.”
