RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Luke Kunin and Anton Lundell scored 43 seconds apart in a five-goal run in the third period as the Florida Panthers beat the Carolina Hurricanes 5-2 on Tuesday night.
Nico Mikkola started the Panthers’ outburst with his first goal of the season, and Florida scored four straight goals in just over six minutes. Anton Lendl also scored and Seth Jones led the way on the power play. Sam Reinhart contributed 3 assists, and Etu Losstarinen and Aaron Ekblad each contributed 2 assists.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 17 saves to win his sixth straight game and the Panthers won for the fifth time in six games in their first trip to Raleigh since winning Game 5 of last spring’s Eastern Conference Finals series.
Eric Robinson and Andrei Svechnikov scored for the Hurricanes, who lost three straight for the first time this season. Frederik Andersen, making his first start since a nine-game suspension, made 17 saves but is winless in his last seven games (0-5-2).
This is Florida State’s second game against the Hurricanes in less than a week. The Panthers scored three times in the third period to earn a shootout win at home on Thursday.
Robinson finished the race with a time of 4 minutes and 15 seconds. Svechnikov’s goal came as he skated out of the zone, catching the Panthers off guard and scoring 1:58 into the second period. He skated the puck between Bobrovsky’s pads.

The Panthers had seven shots on goal in the first two quarters and almost as many with 15 in the third.
