Chicago Bears defensive back Kevin Baird III was named to the Pro Bowl on Tuesday as he is having one of the best seasons of his career.

Baird, who leads the league in interceptions with six, also has 83 interceptions this season and will be making his third Pro Bowl appearance.
When the Bears signed Baird in 2023, it was primarily because of the impact he could have on the field, as the former Titan and Eagle established a reputation early in the league as one of the best safeties in the league. Still, his impact off the field has been similar, if not greater.
With the Pro Bowl announcement, Baird, in just his second season with the team, received the Jeff Dickerson Good Guy Award, an award presented by the Chicago chapter of the Pro Football Writers Association in honor of longtime Bears beat writer Jeff Dickerson, who passed away in 2021 after a battle with colon cancer.
This honor comes from the fact that he primarily performs media duties and is most instrumental in enabling the media to do its job well.

Baird thanked everyone who voted for him for the honor, saying, “This is an absolutely amazing award.”
“Every day, I try to be authentic… I try to be a good person and I try to be the same person every day,” Baird added.
It was later determined that Byard was the unanimous winner of the award, and it’s always a treat to watch a great player become a better person on the court and off the court.
