Kentucky making push for for 2027 QB target Jake Nawrot

Kentucky football is ramping up its quarterback recruiting efforts in the 2027 class, and one of the quickly rising names is Illinois three-star quarterback Jake Nawrot.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound rookie has seen a recruiting boom, with offers from Boston College, Duke, Iowa State, Kansas State, Missouri State and more. Now, the Wildcats are getting into the mix.

Narrot said Kentucky’s offer means a lot to him, especially at this stage of his recruiting process.

“I feel very lucky to have them ask me and I’m very grateful that they wanted to give me a chance,” he told me on Monday.

The Wildcats recently lost their only quarterback commitment in the 2027 class, and Narrot confirmed that Kentucky has been in contact with him.

“They expressed interest in me and were happy to recruit me,” he added.

The junior quarterback also plans to take a closer look at the program.

“My family and I plan to attend this upcoming spring practice,” Narrot said, giving Kentucky a major opportunity to make an impression during a critical period in his recruitment.

As for the timeline for his decision, Narrot hopes to make a commitment in the coming months.

“Sometime this spring I hope to make a decision (April-May), but nothing is confirmed yet,” he said.

Kentucky also offers several other top quarterbacks in the 2027 class, including five-star Louisiana standout Elijah Harvin, four-star Illinois product Israel Abrams, four-star Texas passer Colton Nussmeyer, four-star Tennessee quarterback Andre Adams and Keegan Croucher.

With communication just beginning and on-deck visits coming, Nawrot has become a name to watch heading into the spring.
