How does a business get an “F” rating from the BBB?
Better Business Bureau ratings range from A+ to F. According to the Better Business Bureau’s website, ratings are based on information about a business that the nonprofit can obtain, including public complaints.
“A BBB rating is not a guarantee of a business’s reliability or performance. The BBB recommends that consumers consider a business’s BBB rating in addition to all other available information about the business,” the organization’s website states.
What is the Better Business Bureau (BBB)?
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) was founded in 1912 as a non-profit organization that provides corporate transparency to the public. The BBB offers a paid certification program for businesses, allows consumers to leave public reviews and file official complaints, and operates its letter-grade rating system to help consumers better understand a business’s practices.
