Kentucky basketball kicks off tonight’s action in College Station ahead of Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt. The offense was in full swing and the defense looked locked in once again. However, after building a 12-point lead, the Cats collapsed and they lost a very winnable game to the Aggies.
How bad is it? Well, the Cats allowed as lopsided a run as you’re likely to see. After the first half and about seven minutes into the second half, Aggies go on a 41-10 run.

Forty one to ten.
This turned the game into a miserable defeat in the last 30 minutes.
While this has yet to be confirmed, it’s hard to imagine this not being one of the most lopsided games ever played by a British team. Even the worst parts of the Billy Gillespie era or the 9-16 team weren’t “that” bad.
This game continued that pattern again. Kentucky won these great games under Mark Pope, and then they got absolutely destroyed in other games. With the playoffs starting next week, it’s a troubling pattern for BBN heading into March.
At this point, it’s no surprise that the Cats beat the Gators on Saturday. Will this pattern continue?
Let’s hope they play great basketball every time.
