Joao Pedro, who is playing his first season in the Champions League, praised his coach’s hot form in an interview with UEFA.com yesterday:
“I think a lot of my form has been down to the conversations I’ve had with Liam and he’s shown that he really wants to help me improve,” the striker said.
“When you feel the support of your manager, you push yourself harder every day and because of that, I’m making steady progress.”
Joao Pedro thanks Liam Roniol for his goalscoring guidance
Ronnie Orr has said that much of the focus of he and his coaching staff is on JP’s movement and positioning in the box and we already saw this against Aston Villa last week when he scored three goals and it has paid off. He’s scoring, which we’re excited to see.

It appears that not only has the striker improved, but he is playing in a system that is well-suited for forwards.
Let’s hope he’s still in that shape tomorrow when we face PSG…
