As mentioned earlier, Jio is currently offering caller music for free to its customers. You can also change your existing Jio ringtone to a new ringtone multiple times for free. Also, as a general rule, incoming call ringtones only apply to new calls. This means that callers dialing your number while you are on a call will hear the default call waiting message instead of your activated caller ringtone. Furthermore, the ringtone service is device-agnostic and works on all Jio network-enabled phones.

Similar to Jio, Airtel earlier this year also started offering free ringtones to customers under the Airtel Appreciation Scheme. The operator claims to offer more than 1 million songs in 15 languages, which is significantly higher than the number of songs on Jio. Airtel users can set a ringtone for their number using the Wynk Music app on their Android or iOS devices. Alternatively, users can call or send a text message to 543211.

It is important to highlight that both Jio and Airtel offer ringtones that are valid for 30 days. However, users can extend the validity period after completing the first 30 days.
