JD Vance doesn’t seem too keen on the viral “6-7” craze.
The vice president posted on social media on Tuesday that his 5-year-old son Vivek went “completely crazy” in church when a biblical reading happened to appear on pages 66-67 of the Missal.

The child repeated “six or seven” about ten times, Vance wrote.
“Now I think we need to make this narrow exception to the First Amendment and ban these numbers forever,” he said.
In a follow-up post, Vance asked about the trend, “Where the hell did this come from? I don’t understand. When we were kids, all viral trends had at least an origin story.”

Vance’s post was likely tongue-in-cheek.
But his parenting style and comments about free speech have previously drawn scrutiny.
Earlier this year, the father of three told MAGA podcast Katie Miller (wife of Trump White House aide Stephen Miller) about how he handles his children’s meltdowns:
“If they lose their temper in a public place, I immediately grab them, take them to the bathroom, and say, ‘You need to get that asshole out.'”

Last August, Vance recalled his eldest son getting mad at Donald Trump for talking about “Pokémon” during a phone call during which the then-presidential candidate asked the “Hillbilly Elegy” author to be his running mate.
Vance said of his child at the time: “He was really into this…so he was trying to talk to me about Pikachu, and I was on the phone with Donald Trump. I said, ‘Son, stop talking about Pikachu for 30 seconds.'”
