Jayden Daniels exits Commanders-Vikings after hard hit

Jayden Daniels made a stunning return to the lineup in Week 14 of the 2025 NFL season, just weeks after suffering a severely dislocated elbow in the Washington Commanders’ loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Against the Minnesota Vikings, Daniels was hit by a hard block after a fumble after being intercepted early in the third quarter. The Washington quarterback spent a long moment on the U.S. Bank Stadium turf before walking to the sideline.

Daniels was later spotted walking into the blue medical tent as backup quarterback Marcus Mariota began warming up.

Washington doesn’t believe Daniels can return due to a left elbow injury. Daniels emerged from the blue medical tent with a towel over his head but did not search for a helmet or immediately return to the game.
