Miller scored the decisive goal in the slot to help New York snap a five-game losing streak against St. Louis.

With 1:02 left in the first quarter, Berggren skated along the goal line and beat Shesterkin over his left shoulder at a sharp angle. Rookie Dalibor Dvorsky deflected the puck away from Vladislav Gavrikov to create a scoring chance and later received an assist.

The Rangers responded 6:02 into the second period when Perreault blocked Will Cuylle’s wrist shot past Binnington on the power play. Perreault, a 2023 first-round pick and the son of former NHL All-Star Yanic Perreault, was playing his first game since being called up from the minors to spark a scrambling offense that had seen Perreault twice ruled out in the previous four games.
For the second straight game, New York lost one of its biggest scoring threats. Artemi Panarin, tied for the team lead with 11 goals, was scratched due to illness.
Mika Zibanejad, who also scored 11 goals, returned to the starting lineup after being disciplined for missing a team meeting in the Rangers’ 3-0 loss to Vancouver.
