In defense, Akanji can move to the right side of the back three, with Acerbi or De Vrij moving into the center and Carlos Augusto replacing the suspended Bastoni on the left.

At right-back, the battle between Luis Enrique and Darmian remains unresolved. DiMarco, as always, was untouchable on the left.

Both have been below their best in Europe and will be keen to rediscover their form against Genoa, who have proven they are capable of causing Inter Milan problems this season despite their precarious league status.
