Microsoft’s first-party AAA game “Indiana Jones and the Big Circle” is officially released on PlayStation 5. The action-adventure game finally received a release date for Xbox and PC during Tuesday’s Gamescom opening night presentation, before being confirmed to release on PS5 next year. Bethesda confirmed that “Indiana Jones and the Circle” will be available first on Xbox Series S/X, PC and Game Pass on December 9, and then on Sony’s rival platforms in the spring of 2025.
Indiana Jones and the Circle release date announced
During Gamescom’s opening night livestream, Indiana Jones and the Circle received a new trailer that showed off more gameplay, puzzles, and whiplash combat, as well as revealing the game’s release date. MachineGames’ first-person action-adventure game was previously confirmed to be released in 2024. The trailer also confirms that “Raiders of the Lost Ark” will be coming to PS5 in spring 2025, following a limited-time console exclusivity period on Xbox Series S/X.
“We want everyone to enjoy this adventure. That’s why we’re excited to bring Raiders of the Lost Ark to PlayStation 5 players in Spring 2025,” game director Jerk Gustafsson said in a video posted on Bethesda’s social media channels.
Raiders of the Lost Ark and the Circle PS5 Edition
As a first-party Microsoft game, developed by MachineGames and published by Microsoft-owned Bethesda, Raiders of the Lost Ark is considered exclusive to Xbox consoles and PC. However, earlier this week, a gaming industry insider claimed that the game is scheduled to launch on PS5 in the first half of 2025.
The Raiders of the Lost Ark game was also reportedly being considered for release on the PS5 in February, but Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said at the time that the game would not be part of the four Xbox-exclusive games initially announced for release on rival consoles from Sony and Nintendo. However, Spencer did not confirm whether “Indiana Jones and the Big Circle” or other Microsoft first-party games will be released on PS5 in the future.
In addition to confirming Xbox and PC release dates and a PS5 release announcement, Bethesda also revealed pre-order details for Raiders of the Lost Ark on Tuesday. The game will be available in Standard, Premium, and Collector’s Editions, all of which are available for pre-order now on the Xbox and Steam storefronts. Pre-ordering the Premium and Collector’s Editions will give players up to three days of early access. The game is available for wishlisting on the PlayStation Store.
