A video of community members confronting ICE agents in St. Cloud, who allegedly followed a woman into the parking lot of the Somalia Mall, has gained widespread attention on social media.
The confrontation between agents and the group appears to have occurred outside the Waamo Cafe, located in the 3400 block of North 3rd Street. Many videos of the encounter, including one posted by Facebook user Khadar Omar Mohamed, have gone viral.
“Get out. You shouldn’t be here,” one man said as a large crowd shouted in the background. “You’re not welcome, the photographer seemed to say.

St. Cloud LIVE reported that the city’s Police Department confirmed that one of its officers was in contact with a federal agent, but that the city had not received any “notification, direction, or request for coordination” regarding federal immigration activity in the area.
On Sunday, Rep. Dan Wolgamott, who represents St. Cloud in the state House, took to Facebook to discuss “credible sightings” of ICE agents in the city.
“These are difficult and unsettling times, but the people of St. Cloud know how to come together, support each other, and persevere,” Wolgamot wrote. “ICE will never break our spirit. We stand together, we will protect each other, and we will emerge stronger than ever.”
