Igor Tudor headed straight down the tunnel after shaking hands with Arteta rather than console Tottenham Hotspur stars

Tottenham Hotspur interim manager Igor Tudor has already launched a blistering attack on Tottenham’s stars just days after taking over, according to The Daily Telegraph. The Croatian began his career as Spurs manager with a 4-1 loss to Arsenal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. Tudor was unhappy with the results and the performance of his players, and his reaction at full-time was telling. Rather than console his players who lingered on the pitch, the Lilywhites boss shook hands with Arsenal counterpart Mikel Arteta before heading straight to the tunnel.

During the match, Tudor shouted at Tottenham defenders Radu Dragusin and Mickey van de Veen, dragging the three defenders higher. He was equally outspoken in his first training session last week and hopes his aggressive style will produce much-needed results. Yesterday’s defeat leaves Spurs still in 16th place in the table, but they are now four points above the relegation zone. They return to action next Sunday when they travel to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham, where they can take all three points away from home.

Spurs then face Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, where they must pick up as many points as possible to improve their chances of avoiding relegation. It remains to be seen whether Tudor’s no-nonsense approach will pay off, but Spurs have appointed Bruno Sorto to the coaching staff in an attempt to bring the squad closer together. He has been a popular figure in his previous job and will look to get the best out of his players in the coming weeks and months.
