The Michigan State field hockey team returns from a week off and will look to stay hot in a two-game series against Notre Dame this weekend.
The Spartans and Fighting Irish will wrap up their regular season series with a pair of games this weekend at Moon Ice Arena in East Lansing, Michigan. The first of those two games will be played on Thursday and the second on Friday. Michigan State has won its first two games on the road against Notre Dame and will complete a sweep of the regular-season series this weekend.

MSU had won seven of its last eight games heading into this series – the only loss was to Michigan State in overtime. The Spartans are 22-6-0 overall and 13-5-0 (39 points) in the Big Ten. Michigan State trails rival Michigan by four points in the Big Ten title game, but the Spartans have two games remaining.
Notre Dame is in the midst of a tough season, currently sitting at 6-20-4 overall and 2-15-1 (nine points) in the Big Ten. However, the Fighting Irish had arguably their best weekend of the season with a win and a tie last week against Minnesota.
