Google added email scheduling functionality to Gmail in April 2019. It allows you to draft emails and send them at a future date and time of your choice. Email scheduling on Gmail is available on mobile apps and desktop browsers. It lets you choose a preset date and time, or enter a custom time when you want your recipients to receive your message. This is useful in a variety of situations, and only the sender will know that the email has been scheduled.

How to schedule emails on Gmail from a desktop browser

If you are not already logged in, go to gmail.com and log in with your Google account.

Click write And draft the message using the recipient’s email ID.

Now, instead of clicking Send, click the little drop down Arrow next to the Send button and select Arrange to send.

Over the next few days, you’ll see some preset options. If one of these works for you, just click on it to schedule your emails.

If you want to select a date and time, click Select date and time instead.

You should see a calendar where you can select the days you want to schedule your messages. Alternatively, you can enter the date and time manually in the text fields.

When finished, click Arrange to send Your email will be scheduled for that date and time.
How to schedule emails on Gmail via the mobile app
- Open the Gmail app on your Android or iOS device.
- Click write And draft the message using the recipient’s email ID.
- In the upper right corner, click Three point menu and click Arrange to send.
- You should see some preset options as well as a “Select date and time” option. Click Select date and time Enter the date and time manually.
- Select the desired date and time and click Arrange to send.
Reservation emails on Gmail are sent to the “Reservations” category in the navigation panel. You can have up to 100 scheduled emails and edit them at any time before they are automatically sent.
