WhatsApp can now be used to download your COVID-19 certificate online, with the government launching another easy way to obtain one. All WhatsApp users can follow the easy method to download their COVID-19 vaccination certificate instantly. This method has been introduced through the MyGov Corona Helpdesk chatbot on WhatsApp. The bot was launched last March to help prevent misinformation about the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this year, the MyGov Corona Helpdesk bot also introduced the ability to find nearby COVID-19 vaccination centres.
How to get your COVID-19 vaccination certificate via MyGov Corona Helpdesk on WhatsApp
In order to get a vaccine certificate, you obviously need to have had at least the first dose of the vaccine. The “vaccination” certificate issued after the second injection allows you to travel to countries open to Indians. In some cases, it can also allow you to bypass COVID-19 testing requirements. Enter and send “COVID-19 Certificate” or “Download Certificate” Inside a chatbot on WhatsApp.

The system will send a six-digit OTP to this number and needs to be entered within 30 seconds.

The bot will display all users registered on the CoWIN website and their numbers and ask you to enter the number of the user whose certificate you want to download.

The certificate will be sent via WhatsApp in PDF format and users can easily download, print or save it for future use.
