(WBRE/Wyoming) — Several counties in the region may experience winter weather, including snow and a wintry mix, Friday through Saturday.
The high temperature on Friday will be in the mid-20s, with snow expected to begin around 12:00 p.m. and a winter mix of snow beginning around 8:00 p.m.
The storm is expected to cause poor road conditions, slower holiday travel and localized power outages.
Currently, the following counties are under severe winter weather warnings:

Northeastern counties will see snow by Friday afternoon and more southern counties will see sleet and freezing rain, but the wintry mix will fade overnight.
In these northern counties, people can expect up to 6 inches of snowfall, with less snowfall the further south.
Conditions should ease after Saturday morning, but haven’t started to warm up yet.
The high on Saturday will be just 32 degrees, but temperatures will rise to 38 degrees on Sunday and 42 degrees on Monday. Although the weather is warm, there is a chance of rain during these two days.
Temperatures will drop below freezing Tuesday through Thursday, with highs below freezing and cloudy.
