The Jacksonville Jaguars’ victory over the Denver Broncos a few weeks ago meant more than the money column.
The Broncos enter Week 16 with an 11-game winning streak and are the favorite to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this year.

However, the Jaguars won that game 34-20 thanks to a big performance from Trevor Lawrence and a defensive performance that included two turnovers.
As head coach Liam Cohen recently detailed on The Pat McAfee Show , the Jaguars can pull off a win in a hostile road environment with a convincing win over the hottest team in football at the time.
“Honestly, we haven’t really been in a hostile environment all season,” Cohen said. Advertisement
“That game definitely gives you a confidence boost that we need to go out on the road in bad conditions. Probably in bad weather, to be able to go out on the road and win football games in January. So that’s definitely something you can point to, man, and we should have the confidence to do that again.”
The Jaguars are currently the No. 3 seed in the AFC, and a win in Week 18 or a loss to Houston would secure Jacksonville the division title and guarantee at least a home playoff game.

The Jaguars are still in contention for the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage, but will need considerable help to earn the top spot. If the Jaguars want to make the playoffs, they’ll likely have to do it on the road.
