OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Shelton Henderson scored 18 points, Tru Washington added 17 and Miami beat Mississippi 75-66 on Tuesday night in the ACC/SEC Challenge.
The Hurricanes (7-2) shot 49 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3-point range and led all but four minutes of the game. At the beginning of the second half, the Heat led by as much as 19 points.

Henderson grabbed nine rebounds and dished out five assists, leading the Hurricanes in both categories. Malik Reneau had 15 points and six rebounds on 7-of-12 shooting.
Miami went on an 18-5 run and ended the half with a 42-26 lead. They lost to the University of Mississippi on a 9-0 run to get within single digits, but they fended off a comeback attempt and won easily.
Travis Perry and Patton Pinkins each scored 11 points to lead the Rebels (5-3). Malik Dia had nine rebounds and nine points on 2-for-10 shooting. The Rebels’ shooting percentage was held to 35%.
