Hamas sends secret letter to Mojtaba Khamenei, mocks Gulf states, refuses disarmament

The secret letter follows a more public statement from Hamas on Saturday in which the terror group urged Iran not to target its Gulf neighbors.

Hamas encouraged Iran to “activate all fronts” in a secret letter to the Iranian regime’s new Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, KAN News reported on Sunday.

Hamas issued a more public statement on Saturday, urging Iran not to target its Gulf neighbors.

In its more cautious public response, Hamas said: “While the organization affirms Iran’s right to respond to this act of aggression with all available means in accordance with international norms and laws, it calls on our Iranian brothers not to target neighboring countries.”

The secret letter, on the other hand, showed a far less diplomatic side of Hamas, announcing that it had no intention of disarming itself.

“In the face of ‘Zionist-American’ anarchy, the Hamas movement today supports your wise leadership with all its strength,” Hamas declared.

It also dismissed those Gulf states that have pursued normalization processes with Israel, calling them part of the “losing camp.”

“They don’t even dare to protect those taking refuge in their bases,” the letter said, appearing to mock Gulf countries such as Yemen where American soldiers were killed by Iranian missiles during Operation Epic Fury.

Hamas determined to see future victory under Iran

The letter also pledged Hamas’ unwavering support for Iran along with “the brothers of the axis of resistance in Lebanon, Yemen and Iraq.”

Hamas told Khamenei in the letter: “We will achieve our next victory under your leadership.”

Israel’s Foreign Ministry responded to the letter on X/Twitter, calling it “ironclad evidence.”

“This proves that the Palestinians have betrayed their Arab brothers,” the statement declared, noting that Hamas had called other Gulf states “weak.”
