Newsom, who has said he is considering running for president in 2028, also posted a mock-up image of a rest stop featuring a shiny new sign with the gold trim and lettering favored by Trump:

Trump has a long history of associating his name with things, and he’s taken it to a new level in his first year back in the White House. He added his name to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the U.S. Institute of Peace building, announced a new “Trump class” of U.S. battleships, launched the TrumpRx prescription drug portal and promoted investment accounts for children under the name “Trump Accounts.”

He also reportedly wants his name to appear on New York’s Penn Station and Washington, D.C.’s Dulles International Airport

The Florida House also voted this week to rename Palm Beach International Airport near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in honor of the president.
