The multi-week event is the city of Frisco’s opportunity to capitalize on North Texas hosting World Cup games. Local officials hope the festive atmosphere will attract tourists and unite residents from around the world.

Simpson Plaza, located in front of Frisco City Hall, will feature watch party pods and a giant viewing screen. The venue will host live music, interactive games and local food vendors throughout the festivities.

Organizers plan to broadcast games during MLS’s World Cup hiatus. The festival will kick off every game day, creating what officials describe as a festival-like atmosphere.

“As excitement continues to build next summer, Simpson Plaza will be a place for our community to gather, connect and celebrate together,” said Mayor Jeff Cheney. “This summer, it will truly be the premiere football experience in our city of Frisco.”
