CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) — Michigan’s Fred Richard won his second consecutive all-around title and Cooper King and Jun Iwai won individual titles Saturday night to lead Stanford to its sixth NCAA men’s gymnastics title since 2019.
Richard won silver medals on the floor exercise and parallel bars with a score of 83.598, earning his third national individual all-around title. Nebraska’s Max Odden (78.698) was second, 0.432 ahead of third-place finisher Kristian Grahovski of Ohio State.

Stanford University scored 329.825 points, second-place University of Oklahoma ranked second with 328.495 points, and defending national champion University of Michigan ranked third with 324.857 points. In the final round, Asher Hong (14.300) took silver and Nick Kuebler (14.166) took bronze, sealing the title for the Cardinals. Asher Cohen became the first Nebraska gymnast to win the rings since Jim Hartung in 1982 with a score of 14.500.
Stanford won the program’s 11th national title, marking the 50th straight season the Cardinal has won at least one NCAA team title since the men’s water polo team defeated UCLA 13-12 for the national title on Nov. 28, 1976. The next longest active streak is North Carolina’s seven-year streak with at least one team title.
Iwai’s vault score was 14.433, tied for first place with Nebraska’s Tyler Flores. Michigan’s Landon Blixter was third (14.366).
Flores, Nathan Roman (14.800 on parallel bars) and Kelton Christiansen (14.400 on high bars) each won individual titles for the second-place Sooners.

Kim won the gold medal with a score of 14.466, beating Richard (14.400). Illinois’ Kubler and Tate Costa were third at 14.166.
The pommel horse event was won by Brandon Dang of Illinois with a score of 14.700, Aaronson Mansberger of Michigan was second with a score of 14.566, and Colby Aranda of Oklahoma was third with a score of 14.133.
