Forward Bobby de Cordoba-Reed says Leicester City’s ability to challenge promotion and return to the Premier League hinges on their inconsistent form.
The Foxes have won just two of their seven Championship games in the past month – a run that has left them mired in the bottom half of the table in 14th place.

Jannik Vestergaard’s 90th-minute strike saved the Foxes a point at Wrexham on Tuesday night, meaning they are just five points away from the play-off places despite slipping one place down the table.
From the moment Leicester were relegated from the Premier League for the second time in three years, they were intent on an immediate return to the top flight, just as they had done two seasons ago as Championship champions.
However, a challenge for an automatic promotion spot looks increasingly unlikely as Leicester sit 12 points adrift of the top two with 18 games remaining.
Asked whether Leicester’s focus is now turning to trying to finish in the top six and build a run that can take them through the play-offs, De Cordoba-Reid admitted the Foxes “need to get back to winning ways”.

“We’re not good enough with this inconsistency,” he told BBC Radio Leicester.
“We need to work together and we need to perform well for 90 minutes.”
Marti Cifuentes’ Foxes have only managed two back-to-back wins in the league this season, while their longest unbeaten run spanned eight games from late August to mid-October, five of which were draws.
Leicester also combines one of the most efficient offensive teams in the league with one of the worst defensive teams in the division.
While only five teams have scored more goals than Leicester, only two have conceded more than the 41 the Foxes have conceded so far.

They have kept just three clean sheets in the league this season, with their last appearance in the Championship coming in September.
“First and foremost we have to get back to keeping the clean sheet and build from there,” DeCordoba-Reid said.
“When I talk about clean sheets it starts with us boys at the top [end of the pitch] As a collective we need to work on this. Hopefully we can go into the game with that mentality.
“I feel like we’re always going to score points and create chances, but as a team we need to keep the ball away.”
