As the Longhorns’ 2025 season begins, Steve Sarkisian and his staff are turning their attention to the 2026 season and the future. That includes building the 2027 class, with many goals still being planned. One player they are pursuing is four-star wide receiver Quentin Hale.
Currently, Hale is ranked seventh among the best players in his class by 247Sports. They also rated the Los Angeles native the 54th best player in the nation and the sixth best player from California. That’s part of the reason why some of the country’s top nations have prioritized him as a recruiting prospect.
While the Longhorns have made their interest clear, they do face competition. The Cathedral High star also holds offers from LSU, Miami, Alabama, Ohio State, North Carolina, Oregon State, UCLA, USC and Notre Dame. With no commitment date set, the list is likely to grow in the coming weeks and months. His ability to make plays in the passing game will make him a great addition to any offense.

Hale is known for having a career year during the 2024 campaign. He caught 63 passes for 995 yards. The potential future Longhorn also reached the end zone 14 times and made an impact every time he took the field. Due to his stellar play, Hale is now in high demand as his level of play continues to improve.
While the list of projects of interest continues to grow, it’s a good sign for Texas that it’s still in the mix. Their focus will now be on making sure they can add Hale’s speed to their offense as they chase a national championship.
