A 1946 Cadillac Series 62 and two intact muscle cars were found in a seemingly abandoned family garage.
Hidden behind the weathered walls of a long-neglected mansion is a time capsule of Detroit steel: three classic cars that appear untouched in years but are in surprisingly solid condition. The discovery was recently documented by YouTube user “RangerRickTV” who visited the quiet estate and stumbled upon an unexpected trio in a car.
Video shows the house was once owned by an elderly couple whose children moved away years ago. The estate has reportedly been unstable since their deaths, with little disturbance – including its garage.
The first vehicle discovered was 1959 Ford Thunderbirdidentifiable by its unique grille and trim, and likely powered by a 352ci V8. While not particularly rare, its condition as an unrestored survivor gives it potential value among collectors.
But the real surprise is in the second garage, which houses a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 and a Cadillac Series 62 Coupe from the 1940s Hidden. Although badged as an SS 396, the Chevelle is reportedly equipped with a swapped 454ci engine – a hot-rod carryover from its predecessor. The car was last on the market more than a decade ago.
However, the most eye-catching thing is the retro Cadillacbelieved to be a 1946 or 1947 model. The exterior of this post-war coupe looks like an iridescence of Seine blue, but still shines with elegance. Although its restoration history is unclear, its condition is excellent. With only a few thousand pieces produced and auction prices often exceeding $55,000, this may be the crown jewel of a forgotten collection.
While the property isn’t technically abandoned, the cars are still in limbo. For now, they sit quietly isolated from the world, like relics of a bygone era – waiting for someone to bring them back to life.
