The TCU Horned Frogs will appear in the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl next weekend in Mobile, Alabama. With tipoff less than six days away, TCU sixth-year senior linebacker Namdi Obiazor recently accepted an invitation to participate in the annual showcase game. Obiazzo, who played 53 games in four seasons, will join Caleb Erams-Orr, Bud Clark and All-American receiver Eric McAllister in the Senior Bowl.
Obiazzo began his college career at Iowa Western and was a JUCO All-American in 2021, playing safety in his first season with the Horned Frogs. Obiazzo played in all 15 games, including two starts, and finished with 49 tackles and two breakups. Obiazor moved to guard and replaced Dee Winters following TCU’s 2022 season, which ultimately led to the national championship game. The change worked out well for Obiazor, who earned All-Big 12 honorable mention honors in 2023 with 84 tackles, six sacks, four sacks and two breakups.

As a starter at TCU, Obiazor ranked second on the team with 81 tackles during the 2024 season, third with 6.5 tackles for loss, and fifth with 2.5 sacks. Obiazo was supposed to turn pro last offseason, but due to the Diego Pavia lawsuit granting additional eligibility to players starting at the JUCO level, Obiazo returned to the Horned Frogs in 2025. In his final season at TCU, Obiazzo totaled a career-high 88 tackles, plus four tackles for a loss, two sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble. The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder from Eden Prairie, Minn., was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week against Colorado State.
