Floods close roads, alter parking for LSU baseball game

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) – LSU is urging fans to use caution when heading to Alex Box Stadium for Sunday’s 6 p.m. baseball game against Sacramento State due to flooding in the area.

Officials said several road closures near the stadium are expected and advised drivers to avoid Burbank Boulevard and suggested Nicholson Boulevard or River Road as alternative routes.

Some car parks around the stadium will be closed due to flooding, including Highfield Car Park. Fans are encouraged to use Lots 406 and 404. The golf course’s asphalt parking lot will also be open for game day paid parking until sold out.

People planning to attend the game should use travel apps to help them avoid hazards on their way to the stadium.
