Manchester City preparing bid for Marc Gueye next week
Like Liverpool, Manchester City has suffered from defensive injuries this season.
Josco Gvardiol and Ruben Dias will both be out long-term, leading Guardiola to enter the transfer market in search of a new centre-back.

And, with Guthie’s contract set to expire in six months’ time, City could see this January as an ideal opportunity to pry him away from Selhurst Park for a cheaper fee.
In fact, they are actually ready to make an offer for the centre-back next week, setting a new timetable for his potential move.
That said, that’s according to the latest news from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who says City will “try” to land the centre-back next week.
“I can tell you that the player’s real intention has always been to move on a free transfer in the summer,” he said via his YouTube channel.

“Liverpool are really pushing. Arsenal called because Arteta is a big fan of his. At the insistence of both clubs, Bayern also held some meetings for Gueshi, but Upamecano is expected to sign a new contract.
“Then City have been clear; they are going to try, they want to make a big offer and they want to come out stronger for Marc Guehy in this January transfer window.
“So, City will try next week as well. City are ready to do a deal with Crystal Palace if the player accepts it and they don’t see any problem with that.
“But, it depends on the player and his plan has always been to move on a free transfer in the summer.”
