An Emmy Award-winning reporter has been arrested for allegedly secretly filming people taking off their clothes on a local Oklahoma television station.
Darrell Lee Vannostran, 40, was arrested for covert use of a photo or video device in a private place. The cinematographer and editor was nominated for and won multiple Heartland Television Emmy Awards last year.
According to court documents obtained by The Oklahoman, cleaning crews discovered two cameras in a private locker room area of ​​the KWTV News 9 building in downtown Oklahoma City.

Authorities said it was unclear whether the cameras recorded guests or staff at the local station. When they reviewed the video, they found some people in “various states of undress,” The Oklahoman reported.
Investigators said the cameras were attached to the underside of the clothes hangers with Velcro.

“A review of the extracted video footage confirmed that the camera was active and recorded multiple subjects using the locker room area in a private setting,” the affidavit states, The Oklahoman reported.
After the hidden camera was discovered, police launched an investigation and began analyzing the video, The Oklahoman reported.

Investigators found the cameras were relocated on two separate occasions and accessed multiple times, with timestamps, the outlet reported.
Those timestamps and dates allowed police to zero in on a suspect – later identified as Van Nostrand.

Authorities said Van Nostrand was at the news desk during non-scheduled work hours, entered the building and stayed for less than 45 minutes and allegedly connected to a hidden camera during the investigation, the outlet said.
Oklahoma City is the capital of the state of Oklahoma.
Van Nostrand was arrested Tuesday at her home in Moore, Oklahoma. He remained in the Oklahoma County Jail Tuesday with bail set at $25,000.
